Sections
The programme is broken down into 5 Sections, based on the Scouts’ ages, with each Section using its own symbolic framework.
Sections meet about once a week for a meeting with various weekend activities through out the year for longer adventures (such as camping).
While regular meetings are usually limited to one Section at a time, Linking Activities occur frequently where multiple Sections, or Groups, join together for an adventure. Breaking the Sections down into specific ages, means that Adventures can be geared towards a smaller age range and more likely to fall within a Youth’s experience level. During Linking Activities, Youth get to spend time with other Sections and learn from each other.
Scouts enjoy outdoor adventures like mountain biking, rock climbing and lots of camping while working together with other young people to provide service to their communities.
Throughout their adventures, Scouts meet new friends, learn cooperation and develop self-confidence. Scouts learn to nurture an active and healthy lifestyle, acquire the knowledge and skills for career development, and participate in thrilling outdoor adventures.
